I have got to be the most laid back person in the world. Nothing gets under my skin all that often. But today I was reading  at the local Arizona website azcentral.com. Today on there was news of  the state adding what could be up to 200 photo speed cameras state wide. At the cost of 20million big ones!  Here is how messed up it all is… The state will only fine you $165 for being caught by a speed camera and that's it. NO recourse from motor vehicles, or insurance points. So what does that mean? IF you are rich you can do what ever you want and pay the fines and not worry about a thing or having your drivers licence suspended.  that's just one of the arguments raised about the new cameras.  Arizona is selling this to the public as a way to safe lives and make the roads safer. Come on that's a bunch of BS. If no one is getting any added motor vehicle penalties, like loss of driving privileges or insurance points. Than what are the new cameras really for??? The answer is MONEY!!! yup cold hard cash.

Arizona is in so much debt they are looking at this investment of 20million big ones as a way to make money. Its kinda that cut and dry. rather than dump 20mill on more cops the ROI on the new cameras could be staggering. Some people say they have a quick solution "DONT SPEED and let them eat their 20million invested in photo cameras." If it were like that than don't buy gas and prices would fall or kinda like whats happening now with big SUV's know one is buying them and the prices are falling.

The truth is even good people speed without even knowing it from time to time and when they do, the state of Arizona will be there to give you a ticket.  At least that's what there banking on.

Arizona really wants you to speed because it makes them $$$$money$$$$. They don't want to save your life or make the roads safer. If that was the case they would fix all pot holes and bad roads so you don't get a flat and spin out, killing yourself or someone else.

Arizona right now is expanding some of its freeways. why are they doing this. that's simple to fit more cars on the roads and free up traffic jams. What happens here is when there is more room to drive traffic moves faster and that = $$$ a better chance for these speed cameras to snap your picture and send you a nice fine in the mail. Lets face it they "aint makin money" if your going slow in traffic.  How ironic is it that one of the spots of the freeway expansion is just before a established speed camera? I tell you what. It's a very smart move on their part. kinda Vegas like. In the way that Las Vegas is designed to take your money. Crazy if you think about it. The State is setting a trap right in front of of the eyes on Arizonans. I would expect that in other spots were freeway expansion is being done a speed camera will be close by.

IF this does happen and Arizona Adds 200 speed camera this will be an unprecedented display to big brothers ever growing power to watch listen and control you. I don't know but fascism might be right around the corner if we don't do anything to stop local governments from adding more ways to control you. think about that.
