Looks like we have another city in the USA were, red light cameras are not doing any good. In Chandler Arizona 60 plus red light offenders are caught everyday well turns out only about 17% of them are being paid. Oops…

In a half years time Chandler was expecting to rake in over 2million dollars for the red-light program but only brought in just under $300,000. Most of that money will be sent to the company that runs them as they have a contract stating they will be paid a percentage of the tickets issued.

What’s happening here, is people are just ignoring the fines sent to them in the mail. After some time a process server will be knocking at your door to serve you the ticket. Well if you can dodge him for 120 days the fine drops off because they were unable to serve you. Looks like this system is really working ;). Another reason showing photo radar and red light cameras don’t work.
